A new tool makes receiving DAF fund easier!

👉 According to the National Philanthropic Trust, when nonprofits promote DAF giving, donors often double their gifts.

If you have read my posts, you know I firmly believe organizations should engage DAF donors and their financial advisors strategically throughout the entire year so they can get block more DAF grants.

As part of your DAF awareness strategy, you may want to evaluate adding “DAFpay” by Chariot to your donation page. Chariot provides research and tools that help nonprofit professionals better understand donor-advised funds and unlock additional generosity. Their DAFpay option allows donors to recommend a grant directly from their Donor Advised Fund through your organization’s website. It is added to your donation page as a payment preference. (see attached)

With a “Donate with DAFpay” button in place, donors can initiate grants seamlessly from hundreds of participating DAF sponsors, including Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, Vanguard Charitable, National Philanthropic Trust, Morgan Stanley GIFT, UBS, Wells Fargo, Bank of America Charitable Gift Fund, and many community foundations.

With a “Donate with DAFpay” button in place:

✔️ It reduces friction.

✔️ It signals readiness.

✔️ It reinforces that your organization is equipped to efficiently accept DAF grants.

If you choose to implement it, do not stop at installation. Communicate it. Let your donors and their advisors know that you now accept DAF grants directly through your website.

A brief announcement in your newsletter, a note in your appeal, or targeted outreach to known DAF holders reinforces that your organization is prepared, responsive, and easy to support.

Visibility drives utilization.
